Well, today I had a huge confirmation that I made the right decision! So I found out last night that I got a really awesome job with some dentists (Brown Dental) that have a great reputation. I'm REALLY excited to work for them! They are really nice, they pay great, I get guaranteed hours (32!), 5 vacation days after a year, and they have a 401 K, and they buy my scrubs. :) (Always nice to have free scrubs! We all have matching scrubs). And in the interview I told them I'd like to stay long term because we love Cedar, and they were like, yeah, if you don't, it's ok, we know things change. They also know my former employers, Endodontic Associates. They also said that if there were instruments that I wanted and they didn't have, they'd buy them because they didn't think they'd want people telling them which instruments to use, and so they didn't want to tell me which ones to use. They are seriously SO nice! Now lets compare....
So I told the guy I'm working for that I was giving my two weeks, I know it seems totally flaky, but I was assisting more than I was doing hygiene, and 22 hours a week? Come on...anyways, so he starts being so mean and telling me that I don't have integrity and all this garbage. I was SO mad! And he brought it up somehow about my grades and you can't get good grades doing that or something weird....honestly I think he was just pulling anything out he could think of that would make me feel bad. And he just kept saying that I didn't have integrity. And I said, I am a good person, and sometimes plans change and things come up, and they can give me full time hours, and it doesn't make me a bad person just because I need to do what's best for me. And I can't remember what he said to that, but I really was so glad that I was quitting! :) Then later he talked to me and he had calmed down, but it really just made me realize that this was the right thing to do because I know he would've given me crap about other stuff too! So needless to say, I'm super excited about my new job! And I start Friday! (The other dentist said he didn't want two weeks, which I was happy about!!) So off to a new start! :)
Wow...

That is so great Candice! Jalene told me about your situation before and I felt bad so I am really happy that everything worked out for the best. I love Dr. Smith's office. The only bad thing is that right now he only one assistant and on days that he has two hygienists, it is way too busy because he does double hygiene so there is usually a patient every 30 minutes. He's hired another assistant but she can't start for 2 weeks so we are just toughing it out until then! He's really funny and nice and we also get matching uniforms with our names embroidered on them. Its nice having matching uniforms because you never have to think about what you're going to wear. I love it!
