MUCH Better!!

The new office I'm in is so much better than the last one! I love it! The hygienists that I've met (there are 4 others, but I've only met 2, some are P/T) are So awesome! They are both so knowledgable, and so helpful. I'm so much happier here! They are also much more thorough with their perio patients, and the doctors are a lot more involved in perio diagnosing than the last office I was in. They really support us if we tell the patients they have perio, and they are awesome if we want to refer to a periodontist. I haven't seen anyone that needs referring yet, but the doctors always discuss it with the patients if they have 5's or above, and tell them it may become a possibility. They are so on the ball, and all the staff is so nice! I love it there! :) SO MUCH BETTER!!

I'm so glad to hear that! It's so much better to work in an office where you're not going against everything you were taught in school! It's also nice to work with other hygienists! It's seriously so nice that they are there so you can ask questions. TR (We have to put our initials at everything we put in the computer, so the "tr" just comes naturally now. TR

That is awesome! I haven't seen anyone I needed to refer yet either except for one patient who had been going to our office for a really long time and he'd already lost half his teeth but he had like 10 mm pockets! The second I mentioned a periodontist he was very adament and just outright refused to even let me say anything else about it. But I think the other hygienist said they don't really refer much perio out and only if they have like 9s. I think you could logically refer out someone with 6 or 7's that aren't improving but I am interested to see what other people think. What do you think?
