Pockets

10:45 AM

On Wednesday I had a new experience. My patient had a pocket that was pretty difficult to access. Prof. Alexander helped me a ton, I was very appreciative. It was kind of scary at first to stick my scaler deep in the pocket because I thought I would rip her tissue. Then I got used to it, and my patient said it didn't hurt, so I just trusted that it wasn't and scaled away. It was pretty exciting to actually remove the calculus.
