In Community Oral Health last week, we talked about insurance. I talked with Sheryl about it, and I agree with her how there is insurance for poverty level, but not for middle class. If you don't have insurance through work, it is almost impossible to get because middle class doesn't qualify for Medicaid, CHIP, etc. My husband and I are both going to school, and we don't get it through our work because we go to school full-time. It was very hard for us to even get insurance, luckily we found a friend who helped us. We had been denied through one group already, and if we didn't know this friend, we probably wouldn't have been able to get it. However, it is very complicated to come up with a solution for these situations.

I totally understand what you said. A few years ago, I try to buy private insurance for me and my family. Because I had history of high blood pressure, insurance companies denied us. I was so pist off at that time. What is the purpose of insurance? Insurance is not only for those of perfect health history.
Hey, Who is your friend? We need a hook up!:) Ins. companies don't really what to cover my husband because he has 1 oops, I mean 2 bad hips... NO GOOD:)
I have no insurance, Candice. Well, no dental anyway. And I just had a $1200 root canal. I can't help but think that dentists overcharge. I could be wrong.... I might be right.... Either way, insurance would sure be nice.
